On Wednesday, February 20, 2008, John Teton, the Director of the International Food Security Treaty Campaign, presented "Conquering Paradigm Paralysis: Human Rights Law and End of World Hunger". Teton's appearance was sponsored by the University of Oregon Department of Political Science, UO International Studies Program and the University Bookstore.

Groundbreaking International Hunger Eradication Law
Presented At Portland State
On Wednesday, November 29, 2006, the Division of Political Science at Portland State University presented a program on the International Food Security Treaty (IFST), a proposed plan to employ enforceable international law to achieve drastic reduction of world hunger.
The program featured Oregon resident John Teton, founder and director of the International Food Security Treaty Campaign. Mr. Teton spoke on “Shock Waves of Hope: Ending Hunger with the Aid of International Law” and took questions from the audience. For more, click on the Press Release.

On October 17, 2005, a group organized by medical students at the University of California, San Francisco presented a program on the International Food Security Treaty (IFST), a proposed plan to employ enforceable international law to achieve drastic reduction of world hunger. Titled “Human Rights, Public Health, and the Food Security Treaty” the program featured Dr. Robert S. Lawrence, founder and director of the Center for a Livable Future at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and John Teton, founder and director of the International Food Security Treaty Campaign.
